We hear a lot of complaints about contractors on Long Island. A small percentage of the complaints deal with criminals posing as contractors (he took a thirty-six thousand dollar deposit and disappeared), but the majority of complaints all stem from a lack of professional standards. How many times have you heard this:

• I called six contractors, and not one called back.
• I scheduled six estimates, but none of them showed up.
• He said they would be back on Monday, but no one has been back.
• It hasn't worked since just after it was installed, but no one will return my call.

We meet a lot of contractors on lots of jobs. We have watched contractors walk right through the mud and then, without pause, right through the customers front door. We've seen some guys walk right into customers houses with their lit cigarettes. I've seen contractors pull their trucks as close to a customers house as possible and turn up the radio loud enough to listen to it in the house. How many of those contractors would we refer to work in your home? NONE.
